Burlingame is a tree-lined SW Portland area between I-5 and the Willamette River, north of Lake Oswego. This page covers South Burlingame, Collins View, Marshall Park, and Arnold Creek. It also includes the adjacent Far Southwest polygon, which sits west of I-5 around the PCC Sylvania campus and is not itself part of Burlingame or adjacent to Tryon Creek.

This area gives you tree canopy, larger lots, quiet streets and direct access to Tryon Creek. You give up walk-to-everything density and a neighborhood commercial main street; day-to-day shopping is on Barbur or a short drive to Multnomah Village or John’s Landing.
Direct alternatives on this side of the river: Bridlemile and Vermont Hills for similar postwar hillside housing further north; Hillsdale and Multnomah Village for the same character with a walkable town center; Dunthorpe and Riverdale further south along the river for larger lots and a different school district.
