As a licensed broker for The Turner Team, Ray Gardner has built a reputation as someone who always goes that extra mile for clients interested in Oregon and Washington real estate. Often described as “young and hungry,” he’s equally comfortable working with first timers as he is with investors alike. Ray enjoys bringing a sense of calm to the often-tumultuous real estate ride by guiding customers through every step of the process, clearly communicating next-steps and staying the course through bumps in the road—all to ultimately facilitate winning transactions! Ray is hardworking, professional and honest with demonstrated skills in property marketing, staging/showing and strong negotiation.
Ray was born in Chicago and raised in Newberg, Oregon. So, he’s quite familiar with what makes this area of the country so special. He attended college in the Bay Area and Los Angeles before becoming a head basketball coach at just 22 years old. Always involved in sports, Ray draws on his experiences as a coach when the need to stay positive arises in both his personal and professional life. He also spent time working as an umpire. Ray completed the Reach the Beach bike race and enjoys softball and camping.
It’s been a couple years ago to start. We live in California and wanted a small place in the Portland area to move by family. Well my husband and I called on a condo and got Ray on the phone. Immediately, quicker than Sonic Hedgehog, Ray was on top of looking for places for us. Well our personal picture changed and we had to put off looking, but Ray would still check in with us periodically. And, finally this year we were ready to purchase a home now. We came up to the Beaverton area where we wanted to locate and Ray showed us umpteen homes that all were descriptive of what we were looking for. We put in a couple offers and bingo. Ray held our hand through the entire process, and he came on board with the financing and a broker for home insurance. The Trifecta that we needed! Ray is more than a 5 star rating, he has become a personal friend indeed. You will be lucky to have him be your next realtor by far!

I came to Portland not familiar with the neighborhoods. In a very hot market, Ray helped me maintain my equilibrium as we searched and FOUND my perfect home. I needed a great deal of moral support. He was both patient and supportive.

This transaction was a very bumpy ride indeed. My purchase of my new home depended on the sale of another home I had. There were some real issues with my buyer possibly not being able to get the loan and we were coming right upon the closing date. I was on pins and needles, but Ray was Mr. Cool! The deal was closed and all the monies were transferred after the first bump in the road. It was a big nail-biting bump though and Ray rode it out like a pro. I really enjoyed doing business with Ray. He’s sharp, smooth, efficient and a nice guy to boot. I would use him as an agent again in a hot second.
